Supplement Book for AP Chemistry?

I'm in AP Chem right now, looking for a review book less for the AP exam (worry about that later), and more for just helping me get by through class.

I'm inclined towards Barron's simply since it's more detailed/thorough, but any other suggestions?

I’ve looked through PR and there seem to be good examples. I’m actually planning to use that to clear up confusion before a test next Wednesday.

If you’re looking to use a review book to get through the class, I would not recommend PR. It’s more useful in preparing for the actual AP since it’s more of a quick review of stuff you should’ve already learned. It’d be really hard to try and learn Chemistry from that book. I’d go for Barron’s.

I used Princeton Review and it was FANTASTIC. Starting a couple weeks before the exam I’d spend every day doing one chapter from the book and prior to the test I’d do multiple practice tests from the collegeboard website. I haven’t used Barron’s for Chem but I did for Math II. In my experience it’s way to difficult and made me more frustrated and confused than it did help.

Guess I’ll buy Barron’s for class, and PR for the exam itself. Just need a lot of lengthy, but not textbooky explanations and examples.

Im using the PR and I think its pretty good.
