<p>Okay, so it calls for social and academic community...I was wondering whether anyone could actually explain to me what this means. I'm an international student, and I was absolutely confused by the phrasing of the question. Does UPenn have specific 'social' and 'academic' communities? How do you define them? </p>

<p>I can't actually do the essay without knowing what they want us to talk about, because I have no idea what these communties refer to, so any help would be really appeciated. Thank you!</p>

<p>Anyway, I just read a few of the other threads, and I get that the main gist is to write about why penn, but I was wondering whether this is on a general basis, or do they expect you to name an academic and social community and talk about it specifically? :confused: and…what constitutes of an academic community anyway?</p>
