Supplement Essay

Hey, I had a couple of questions about the mandatory supplemental essay for Upenn. The prompt is:

"Which of the academic communities and social communities that now comprise the University of Pennsylvania are most interesting to you and how will you contribute to them and to the larger Penn community?"

So do we need to write about academic/social communities, the entire Penn community, or both in our essays? IE would it be frowned upon or even be pointless to only address one of them?

Also, is this essay expected to be creative or just the usual, dry, "I want to do X because I did X in high school and Y because it was my dream since pre-nursery," material? People say that all essays should be as creative as possible and portray unique points of view etc, but is this essay really expected to have these? In other words, is this essay relatively straightforward, or is it an exercise in creativity, and do they want to see exactly what they asked for or can we take some liberties with the prompt?
