Supplement Essay

Hey i've got a general question about my essay. you all know the prompt, right? about academics, research and/or ECs.
now, i've got a total of 490 words in my essay. about 350 is on academics and 60 on ECs and only 80 on research.
now i've seen the research site, and a lot of it's medical etc etc and i wanna major in Eco at wharton. i've talked about that in the essay, but the research part obviously won't be as convincing as the rest of my essay is.
i had to cut short on the EC part, cause i was running out of words. But i guess that's okay cause they say and/or ECs.

my main question is, will the research part hurt me, or is it mainly for people who are interested in research?
this is a question on the essay, so don't just say 'you don't have research as an EC you'll never get in" or some crappy stuff like that.
Thanks.

If you don’t want to do research there, don’t write about research.

Talk about what you’re interested in. If EC’s and Research aren’t your thing, don’t sweat it. Focus on the academics. But I would think that you would want to participate in some type of club or organization! Talk about your PASSIONS. Not that hard…
