there are several quotations I can choose..but i am quite confuse about one quotation..."The whole world opened up to me when I learned to read.if i choose this one, does it mean i can write an essay about my opinion on ONE book?

I'm matriculating at Colby this Fall, and the beauty of the supplemental essay is this: It is your chance to mold a given topic to your liking, and, therefore, to your benefit. : ) Don't stress over whether or not you're answering the questions exactly as the admissions people intended. Rather, focus on what you wish to communicate about you! And hey, if you learned to read primarily by means of one book, feel free to write about it. (The admissions people at Colby are warm and friendly--personal bias aside--so remember your audience as you write).

all the best.
