The supplement says to be creative and fill the page. I'm not talking about writing a poem or putting a work of art on the page, but instead of a traditional essay, how risky is it to do something ever so slightly off the beaten path? I was encouraged to do this by a couple of W&M grads, but they aren't adcomms, so of course I'm second guessing.

My supplement was a poetry/prose combination. -shrug- Just do whatever you think best helps express a side of yourself that W&M can’t see from the rest of your application.

The Optional Submission on the Supplement is designed to let you express yourself in whatever manner you feel best, so if you want to be a little edgy or off the beaten path, go for it!
