The supplement question is quite confusing. Does Bowdoin want us to just talk about how we prepared ourselves academically (i.e. ap courses, intellectual discussion, etc) or relate to something past that?

Yeah, I’m having trouble with it too. I’m having a hard time addressing the question while keeping the essay relatively interesting or significant…

I saw the real question being “how have you prepared yourself to enter an academic environment like Bowdoin’s?”

Now, there is an obvious inclusion of your school, but furthermore, its asking what you have done to create the student that you are and how that person is prepared for Bowdoin’s academic environment. That could be through courses, through taking initiative in a project, or even through extracurricular activies as long as it links back to your scholastic preparedness.

Sorry if that is unclear. If it is I could try to explain it further.

Ahh, I see what you mean. Thanks a lot. I thought of what you posted, but I wasn’t completely sure. Thanks a lot Max; you’re a huge help!

Any time! :)
