Okay, so I submitted the supplement by regular mail about three days ago (applying early decision). On the Common App site under "supplement" it says it has not been started yet. I know Dartmouth probably has not gotten it yet, but when they do, will it say I sent it? How will they know? Do I just submit it online as well?

Sorry for my confusion and thank you in advance!

Forgot one thing, should I just do the entire application offline?
Thank you!

I think I read on the common app site that if you submit the common app online, you need to submit the supplement online as well. Also, if you send the common app via snail mail, you need to submit the supplement in the same manner.

Yes, you’re right. I just found that.

Do you know what happens with recommendations though? My teachers want to submit them online (one of my teachers says she hasto because she has done others online before).

I think there’s a section for teacher recommendations, that you fill out their email addresses and the school emails them the form, for them to return electronically.

Even if I send in the application by paper form?

Sorry–I’m still confused.

Recommenders
Please report the names of the school officials who will be completing your Secondary School Report and Teacher Evaluation forms. If they have an email address, they will receive an email inviting them to send your recommendations online or via mail, whichever they prefer. You may start the process by clicking on the Invite button below. Please note that this is a required step before you will be able to submit your application.

I cut this out from the common app site. Looks like the teacher can choose either snail or email as an option.
