Supplementary Art Portfolios

Does anyone know what schools do with an applicant's supplementary art portfolio at the end of the admissions process? The LAC to which I applied ED1 says that submissions are not returned. Any idea if they toss the stuff or hold onto it? If they toss, I'm thinking about asking if they wouldn't mind returning it, because it cost a fair amount of money to print. I was accepted (and obviously that's what I really care about), however I was wondering if anyone has any insight. Thanks!

I think most colleges claim that they won't be able to return your work to you. I suppose it can't hurt to try, but I wouldn't expect much.

Thanks for replying PeriodicTable.

We send slides in.
