Supplementary Recs

<p>Columbia seemingly discourages supplements and supplementary recommendations, unless they shed light on some information/aspect of the candidate that the teachers and GCs don't/can't provide. </p>

<p>So if there are any sent, is the limit 1-2? How are the supplementary recs reviewed? (Are they even reviewed?) And lastly, if there is an alum that's writing a rec, is that a separate type of rec?</p>

<p>yes, i called and they said 1-2 supplementary recs.
but really, make sure they are from different walks of life so to speak.</p>
