Currently, I have engineering listed as my first anticipated major and chemistry as my second.
I’m most interested in ChemE, and I wrote my engineering supplement with that in mind. So there are segments of that essay where I talk about my interest in chemistry.

For my supplement about chemistry, could I flat out copy and paste those segments? If the same person reads both essays, it’d feel really dumb, but, at the same time, do I really have two different ways of describing why I love chem? I’d go into more detail in my chem essay, I guess, but there would definitely be sentences that are identical.
And it’s not just even about the chem - I begin my engineering essay talking about how I like applied math. My chem essay would begin the same way because, again, I like ChemE for the same reasons I like chem. Would adcoms understand if I copy and paste or should I try to somehow go about this a different way?
