<p>Hey i am interested in applying to UCSC next year. One of the major lures is surfing. I am from San Diego and surf a lot and was just wondering where people keep their boards, wetsuits etc. and how i could go back and forth from the beach if i don't have a car.</p>
<p>You can take the bus 
Bus rides are free for students, and there are buses that go downtown. All you have to do is show your student ID.</p>

<p>No shame in riding the bus in SC. Store your board / wetsuit, (and booties, and hood, and gloves) in your room. </p>
