<p>It’s humorous in a dark way, yet disappointing at the same time.</p>
<p>Do you think it applies to Berkeley, though?</p>
<p>I don’t think 25 colleges is enough to represent the whole, but I think it is good to put it out there.</p>

<p>Berkeley is (or was when I was there) large enough to have a party/slacker subculture of undergraduate students who slide by in the easiest possible courses and majors. Perhaps they are getting the C grades in the same courses that grade-obsessed pre-med and pre-law students are taking to get A grades to raise their GPA.</p>
