Hey guys! Did any of you throw a sweet sixteen? Or are any of you planning to? My mom really wants me to because my brothers were extremely asocial during high school. I just wouldnt know what to do or how to throw one. She wants it to be formal with fancy lighting, food, music etc.
And then there is always that one kid who has the huge party and gets the nice Ferrari..:)

I ordered a pizza and my five-year-old neighbor came over and ate it with me.

I chatted with my friend (who was in Taiwan) on Gmail and watched a movie with my mom ._.

My friend turned 16 a few weeks ago. Ten of us stayed over and had way too much cake and champagne. Much more fun than a big party with a lot of people you aren’t close to.

I honestly don’t even remember turning sixteen.

I went to breakfast with my mom and dinner with my boyfriend where random people heard it was my birthday and sang to me (extremely embarrassing)

I skipped school with a bunch of friends, went out for ice cream, went to the beach/bar, then to public viewing (like a big concert except you’re watching a soccer game on a screen instead of a band), to another bar with some random guys and my friend, then slept at a friends house before we got up and went to the train station. Best. Day. Ever.

This was in Germany where your 16th is basically America’s 21st though haha so I’m not sure you could exactly replicate this, but you should totally throw a big party! My friend had a huge Quince where we all had on super nice dresses and she had a banquet hall on the lake rented and a ton of awesome food and it was so fun and everyone talked about it for a long time and how it was so much better than homecoming or any other parties they’d been to!
