Hi there! My current schedule is
AP Art History
Physics
Advanced Composition
Marketing Management
AP Statistics
AP US Government

and I want to switch from AP Art History to AP Studio Art. Is this going to hurt my chances of getting accepted to my schools? How do I go about doing this? I got a B in Art History first semester.

is there any particular reason you want to switch? do you know if it’s possible for you to switch? have you talked to a teacher or guidance counselor about it?

Everything is set up so that I can switch, and I applied for the switch. I want to change classes because I don’t feel that the Art History class I’m in will adequately prepare me for the AP exam, and although I love the subject, I think it will be a wasted year. The teacher has never taught an AP course before, and I don’t want to have to slam for an AP exam that isn’t part of my intended college major during the second semester of my senior year.

But will colleges see this as a warning bell?

you might have to explain to them why you made the switch but since you’re switching from one AP course to another (not a lesser level) and the courses are in the same general area (art) which is not part of your intended major, I think you’ll be okay.

Just think what’s best for you If you don’t feel well prepared for the AP exam in Art History, then switch to Art studio. Tell the reason why you switch, anyways they are in the same field so it won’t change much. Just believe whats right don’t doubt yourself. :)

Also, can you please answer my problem please: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1451243-help-class-scheduling.html
