Switching from Arts and Sciences to Engineering

I'm an ED student, and when I applied I applied for Krieger A&S and thought I was dead set on doing physics. But I've been looking through the ChemBE page and realized that chemical engineering encompasses everything that I want to do (nano tech, alternative energy, cancer, etc.) Is it hard to switch into the whiting school of engineering once I get to JHU in the fall? I also don't want the adcoms to think that I was trying to "game the system" since apparently engineering has a lower acceptance rate. So what do you guys think? Thanks in advance

Nope! It’s as easy as talking to your academic advisor. You’re never locked into a major, and you generally aren’t accepted based on your intended major anyway, because so many people will end up switching.

yea I switched into Engineering from A&S at the end of my freshman year. You just have to fill out a form and get your current major’s advisor to sign it.
