Switching into engineering

I am currently in the school as undeclared for life and health sciences. I took a tour of the school and my tour guide said that you have to apply to the school of engineering to get into it. I want to have maybe the computer game design major or robotics engineering available to me as majors, is it difficult to get into those programs? How do I apply for the engineering school?

Direct admittance to the school of engineering only gives you one advantage: you can declare your major right away.

In your case, you have to take a few prerequisite classes and get a certain GPA between them. You do a bit of paperwork, and then you’ll be accepted into the major.

If you want to keep those majors open as option, be sure to take Math 19A and 19B. NOT 11A and 11B. The 11 series does not give credit for engineering majors, only 19A and 19B do.

awesome! thanks for the info

Is it possible to change my major now, before I get there to an engineering major? Or am I too late to do that? Because I actually am pretty sure I wanna do one of those

I’m pretty sure it’s too late. Either way, proposed majors don’t impact much.
