Switching my prospective major, but all my ECs revolve around my old major?

I'm a high school junior and I've always wanted to major in business. But now I am thinking that I should probably major in Computer Engineering then go on to a business master's. I feel like a business major is too generic while computer engineering gives me a little more of an edge. Any opinions on this?

I am a leader in my school and I have been interning at an insurance agency in a marketing position. I feel like I've been setting myself up to major in business but now that I'm possibly switching, colleges will not see any major-specific ECs. What should I do? Maybe do a business/comp engineering double major? But since I can only choose one major when applying, which do I select?

if your ECs are business-related, i think u should definitely stick to that major [for now]. it'll show leadership & passion or whatever in the field you're going into. i'm doing the same thing, but then switching my major later on.

So don't directly indicate your major in your application. Or pretend that you still want to major in some variety of business and switch later. Many people don't declare their major until well into the latter half of their degree.
