Switching schools...

Is this even possible? I applied EA to the School of Nursing/Health studies because I'm 90% sure that I want to do something involving the healthcare field. But I'm worried that I'll get there, start taking a concentration of math/science classes, and get overwhelmed/burnt out. Is it completely unheard of to switch from NHS to the college? And if they accept you to NHS will they not let you do this before attending in the fall? Anyone with any kind of experience/info about switching schools would be of great help.

I live in MA and haven't even gotten my letter yet, but Georgetown is my #1 and I want to make sure that I'm as happy as possible there.

bump… anyone?

Hi. I’m a student in the SFS at Georgetown, and switching schools is definitely an option. The process is not very difficult; it involves an application essay and they will review your grades but everyone I know that has transferred schools said it was simple. There are plenty of people who switch from the NHS to the College to study other subjects, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t study other subjects if you’re in the NHS. I have a friend in the NHS who is also a Government minor, and there are plenty of people who do Pre-Med from the College. The Georgetown system is really pretty flexible.
