Syracuse Business Major....HELP

So I am applying to Syracuse as a Freshmen for the fall of 2009. I want to major in either management at whitman school of management or in economics at the college of arts and sciences. I want to know, my goal is to work after my degree and work towards an MBA and eventually get a job in management (my dream job would be an executive). I am torn between which route is the best way to reach my goal. I'm not sure whether Economics at the Arts and Sciences College or Management at Whitman is the best for CAREERS AFTER GRADUATION and FOR ADMISSION AFTER A FEW YEARS TO AN MBA PROGRAM???

I know they say major doesnt matter, but I know that econ is supposed to be a good foundation for gettting into an mba program, but i dont want to be an economist in the end, i want tobe in management!!!!

ANY ADVICE???

What jobs do economics majors land out of Syracuse and what jobs do management majors land out of syracuse?

If I were you, I would want to know: Employers, positions, and salary info.

This will either be located on the Universities website or should be accessible via the school's career services or potentially from someone in the departments in question (ie college of mgt).

I did similar research for a few schools, syracuse being one of them.

Whitman has great recruiting, MBA programs recruit love good work experience, and WHitman will land you a better job then liberal arts, even though econ is a great major. I'd go whitman
