Hey, I applied to Syracuse back in Early December. I did an interview and went to an info session at the Lubin House as well(I cannot travel all the way to Syracuse because of my work and my father’s job.) I believe the interview went pretty well and she seemed very impressed with my major in high school, work experience, and related classes. I mostly talked about my internship at a marketing place and how that allowed me to realize that was what I wanted to study.
I go to a public magnet high school in New Jersey and took 15 honors classes since freshman year and two AP courses (AP Lang and AP MircoEconomics). I am a Fashion Design and Merchandising student. I have a UW GPA of 3.4/4.0 (not the best. My SAT I was 1800 ( 580 Math, 610 CR, 610 Writing).
I believe my recs were pretty good and my essay was very well written. ( I even think I had it revised 8 times. I might be a bit extra haha). I spent a lot of time with my supplements and I believe they were very strong and showed my personality/ what’s important to me. I guess I just want to know whether or not I have a shot at getting admitted to Syracuse. I applied to the Whitman program and Communications as a backup major.
