Is it being suggested that merit aid is also being based on need? I understand trying to meet demonstrated need with need-based aid, but merit too? Perhaps we should have looked into this further…excited about being accepted, disappointed we’d have to go into several hundred thousand dollars in debt for an undergraduate degree.
OOS. Son admitted to Whitman. No mention of merit and no way we will be able to afford it. We know we do not qualify for need-based.
I’m wondering the same
lots of newhouse whitman were ED1 and ED2 there are a limited number of spots @125
hardest major to gain acceptance into
also greatest number of credits to earn that dual degree of all the dual programs
I have a 3.7uw with 4 aps and honors calculus and i applied to Newhouse and haven’t gotten an email. I’m from Michigan and i haven’t heard of anyone from Michigan getting an email. I also received a personalized email from a Associate Professor about my portfolio I submitted. I thought for sure I was getting in
Health & Exercise Science
I got in! Best of luck to you guys. I got deffered from ED so don’t give up hope!
has anyone received an email past 5:32???
Was admitted to CAS, OOS, 3.5 UW GPA, 28 ACT, showed a lot of demonstrated interest, did not qualify for FA which is disappointing
Accepted to Whitman! Chancellor Scholarship and Orange Success Award!
4.2 gpa 1360 sat
Time of email ??? (congrats btw)
no it’s not suggested it is based on that but they do see into an applicant’s ability to pay when you submit all your finances
it’s a private school and things are not fully transparent
