<p>This is what I’m concerned about:</p>
<p>Early Decision</p>
<p>If Syracuse University is your first choice, we encourage you to apply through Early Decision. As an Early Decision candidate, you agree to enroll at Syracuse University if admitted to your preferred college. You may apply to other colleges and universities through regular decision with the understanding that you will withdraw these applications if admitted to Syracuse University. Early Decision candidates are typically notified of their admission decision prior to January 1.</p>
<p>Early Decision applicants must submit the Early Decision Commitment Contract as part of the application for admission. This contract must be signed by you, your parent or guardian, and your guidance counselor.</p>
<p>If you are applying for financial aid, you will receive an early estimated financial aid award package. While Early Decision is binding, we understand that financial considerations may affect a student’s ability to enroll.</p>
<p>have a feeling that is an old narrative; but if it makes all of you feel better, we received an email that SU offices will be closed from Dec 23-Jan 1…</p>
<p>my guess is ED decisions out either this Friday or next; my bet is on this one…</p>

i just callled syracuse and they said we should hear back EARLIEST Dec. 15. LATEST the end of December… </p>

<p>I don’t think it is either… especially since they extended the ED deadline ugh. it’s such a pain because if I don’t hear by the 15th I’m going to have to start doing some supplements for other schools!!</p>

<p>anyone else ED for the new house school?</p>
<p>I applied ED for the dual between Newhouse and the iSchool, and if I get in I’ll gladly go to Newhouse, it’s my dream school, but I have reasonable doubts about my qualifications for it. I’ll probably get into the iSchool, but I was already accepted to Pitt whose iSchool is comparable to Cuse’s. Since ED isn’t binding if you’re not accepted into your first choice program and it’s about 25,000 a year less for me, I will most likely be at Pitt next year. But I’m still crossing my fingers for Newhouse.</p>
<p>An admissions counselor just emailed me saying the first batch of ED decisions will be online Monday.</p>

<p>I am super nervous and so frustrated that may other schools notified ED applicants earlier this evening! I guess I will just have to wait it out this weekend… Is Monday still plausible? or are we thinking Tuesday? I wish they would just specify! I emailed one of the secretaries at Syracuse (whom I had previously been in touch with) and she said that we should know prior to the 15th. Cross your fingers!!</p>
<p>I called Syracuse and also emailed them with the same question just to double check ha ha but both responses that I got back said we will be notified via email before the 30th. WHAT. that is insane. I need to know now. they need to get their act together and stop telling everyone different things.</p>
