Taking my daughter on a road trip to Syracuse in 2 weeks. Wondering if anyone has experience with booking a hotel near where BFA acting auditions are held? Would love to get a 2 bedroom suite if possible…TIA!!
Do not, do NOT stay at the Hotel Skyler. It’s a lovely boutique hotel, about a 5 minute walk from the Syracuse stage building. It would be absolutely perfect if there was any attempt to soundproof the rooms when they built it. You hear EVERYTHING. We could hear the people above us walking around as if they were a herd of elephants. You can hear absolutely everything that goes on in the halls (someone named Spencer was holed up in his room and every two minutes you heard “Spencer? Open up!..Spencer? Open up!” Just don’t stay there if you want your child to actually sleep before the audition. Try the Sheraton - also walking distance.

The Genessee Grand hotel is right there - 1/2 block away from Syracuse Stage where auditions are held (and the theater students spend most of their time) Its a lovely hotel - I highly recommend it.
