Glad I have Syracuse as an option! Although I only got about 20k in FA, probably because I’m white and have a pretty high EFC (35k or something).

Wait did it say in ur letter online something about premed? BC I put that I was interested in it but it didn’t say anything in my acceptance letter…

Congrats to everyone that got accepted under Political Science! I just got the email, quite shocked and beyond happy to have gotten in, since it was my first choice.

My stat’s in case anyone was wondering.

SAT: 1700 (Reading 590, Math 560, Writing 560)
SAT ll : Spanish - 780
GPA: 96.66 (3.90)
Rank: 1/125
AP Courses: AP Biology, AP History

Honestly, knowing this was the largest pool of applicants I never thought I’d get in. I guess my essay did the trick. (wrote about Winnie the pooh and his influence on me learning English).

My financial aid was rather impressive (51k).

AD was : Accepted to L.C Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science School

SAT 2010
ACT 32
AP Bio 5, AP History 4, AP Physic (exam in May)
GPA 4.0
SATII History 800
Rank 9/745

FA: 17K

I don’t understand… I only got 12k in grants, and 8k more in loans/work study but my EFC was only around 10k. Are grants only need based or are they also academic based?

I know non of you have been admitted through HEOP but should I call the school?

Son got in for College of Design for Industrial Design. From MA. Aid award far below other ID acceptances.

grants are both need based and non need based too I think. Anyone got a scholarship?

Congrats everyone that’s been accepted so far. To the posters with the substantial financial aid awards, can you tell me if that is scholarship/merit/grants/loans? Thanks.

My FA = scholarships+ syracuse and federal grants+ loans and workstudy.

so… is til have not gotten anything, should i be nervous ?

a friend of my daughter heard that she was accepted today with a 1560/2400 SAT and 3.3 uw GPA Is this possible ?

OrangeWhite: Why wouldn’t it be? Just because her stats aren’t stellar does not mean she didn’t have a good application.

Also waves for the most part seem to be random.

Thanks Mysticalkites I guess the waves truly are random and I’m glad for her she is a really good kid

Well is she a NY resident?^ She could have been accepted through HEOP which is for NY people who have low stats due to financial hardships but have shown GREAT potential to succeed.

No New Jersey

question, I got into Binghamton without eop just through regular admissions so I stll have to pay 5k a year but syracuse is giving me a full ride, where should I go. I LOVE SYRACUSE but is it fair to say Binghamton is better academic wise?
