Syracuse Sciences

I hear a ton about their Newhouse school on here, but that's pretty much it. I'm more interested in the hard, natural sciences at Syracuse--bio, chem, maybe a premed major, and perhaps something more specific like Public Health, Food Studies and Nutrition. Can someone provide me with a some info on how solid such programs are? Perhaps past experiences with teachers, or recognition the school has won? Not just stats on how many teachers have the highest degrees in their field. Thanks so much!
