I don’t see the 9th happening. Too soon, and no where does it say early December. However, I could be – and hope I am – wrong. A college counsellor told my friend he has been hearing schools are starting to release ED on the ninth, but I speculate he meant Ivy League schools, because I know Cornell comes out on the eighth.
My guidance counselor said that some schools are releasing ED notifications on the 8th which is a week earlier than they released the last two years. So maybe…
I still believe it’s going to be the 9th because there’s typically 2 rounds. And since we know the 23rd is out, it’s not going to be the 16th and the 23rd. It’s more likely that it’s the 9th and the 16th.
Are there always two rounds? Is there any rhyme or reason to which round you are notified?
Anyone else get an email about a ring that was lost from someone from Megan Hart from the college of Arts and Sciences? I got one on the 5th and am wondering why I’m getting this, even though I’m only on their email list because of my application.
I’m thinking it will be the 16th now because on the counsler page that said early December a few dags ago now says mid December
Omg they changed it. Aw man, it’s definitely the 16th then.
They changed what?^^
@DanL05 They updated the counselor page that originally said decisions would be given out in early December to say mid-December. http://admissions.syr.edu/whoyouare/counselors/
Joining in on the conversation! I am extremely anxious and wishful. Best of luck to everyone in these upcoming weeks!
Welcome! We’re all very anxious lol
I can’t believe they changed it I guess another week of waiting
I’m guessing the first wave will go out on Friday and the second wave will be next Friday.
Thanks! Tomorrow may be the day.
For people applying to CAS, are you also applying for the discovery program?
Since it nearly always goes in waves, I think about half of us will hear tomorrow and half will hear next Friday. They try to notify people before January (because if someone doesn’t get in, they need time to submit other applications and they probably want it all done before they get the influx of regular decision & EDII), and there’s only 2 Friday’s before Christmas break for the Admissions Office.
@alex37schmidt I didn’t apply for the discovery program, I did however tell them i was interested on studying abroad lol
@RachelN98 I hopeeeeeeeee
They should post on twitter when the decisions come out
I didn’t apply for the Discovery because CAS is in my second choice and I personally didn’t want to travel first semester (I want to get used to the campus and make friends ya know) But I did say I’m interested in studying abroad. If I don’t get into Syracuse my next choice is the American International University in London, England so I want to travel regardless. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed because I adored Syracuse so much.
@RachelN98 That was my reasoning for the discovery program too! lol
I just called admissions and they said mid to late december X_X
