heeyy guys! i’m new to CC and I joined because I’m so nervous about getting into Cuse!!! I’m sooo glad to know I wasn’t the only one who didn’t get an email in the first two wavess…

Northwestern site crashed minutes after they sent emails with links to the letters. We managed to get into it before, but most people have yet to see their decisions in more than 2 1/2 hours. Then they crashed CC trying to figure out what the heck was going on. By staggering the decisions, they avoid all this. However, why couldn’t they just stagger them a day or 2 between each wave? No complaints here though as my D got in last week!

all i want is to know. most of my friends already know what college they’re going to, and some of them even know what room they’re staying in! the wait is killing me!! i just wanna know!

@stacespace babson’s site crashed as well when they released decisions, so I agree that there needs to be waves, but every friday is just crazy. it should be like over the course of a few days. northeastern managed to do it all at once, so I don’t know why SU can’t do it as well…

is there definitely two more waves? i thought there was only supposed to be three?

I really don’t understand why they can’t just tell everyone by email…

and has anyone been able to log into their my slice portal? mine won’t let me.

Accepted to CAS with a $12,000 Founders Scholarship and a large grant! I found out last Friday via e-mail.

bellsgirl - are you an intl. student?

and congratulations !

I just got an email informing me that I was wait-listed for Whitman, I’m so worried and upset right now…

Got an email at 5 saying that I was wait-listed…

That is so weird…it is a wednesday?

I got waitlisted just now also also but it only referred to my first choice…

I got waitlisted from Newhouse… and honestly, I don’t get the email they sent. It said Syracuse would let me know after May 15 whether I was accepted even though Syracuse knows that colleges want our decisions by May 1. So, does Syracuse expect us to wait and see past our deadlines and possibly lose the chance to go to any college or… just say no to wanting to wait? So dumb. ■■■.

@stlunatic888, I don’t get that either. What happened to consideration of our second choice?

I guess I’ll just click ‘No’, because I am not waiting to see if I possibly get accepted, ruining the chances of going to any other college. Damn, I guess all my number one schools are gone… guess I’ll be going to Umass Amherst with the rest of New England…

^that is how all wait lists are. Basically you have to pay a deposit to another university and sit on the wait list for Syracuse and if you end up getting accepted to Syracuse you lose the money you deposited at the other university.

Yea it’s silly Mango to just do that. I’m no fool. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else!

Read my post before you click no! You may still have a chance!

Syracuse will offer some people their second choice ,if appropriate ,and others, a waitlist to their first choice…no rhyme or reason to either…

And you deposit to another college by May 1st; if you are plucked off waitlist, you withdraw the first acceptance and accept Syr if that is what you prefer…

Eric: it is done this way everywhere…check the rest of CC

Lol okay atleast you knew your options. So I guess if anyone receives an email today it’s bad news.
