I’m going to visit Syracuse in a few days…even though I haven’t received a decision yet haha I’m excited, never been to New York. Hopefully well get decisions soon.

As a Syracuse University graduate I can say with confidence that it’s an excellent school. Yes it is competitive to get in as the academic environment is outstanding. Be patient as you wait for your decisions. I know that can be difficult but, worrying will not speed up the process. BTW if you love the outdoors there is quite a bit to do in the surrounding area.

How is Syrcause about scholarships?

Is there a date when the decisions are released? Or are they released over a span of time in march

you should expect decisions to start rolling out sometime around mid-march (heard that from an admissions officer…i’m a current student). there will probably be a few waves of decisions made over the 3 weeks following the first decisions, as long as this year is consistent with last year.

last year, the first wave of decisions came out at around 4:30 pm eastern time on March 18th. these were followed by a few subsequent waves of acceptances one day every week for 3 or so weeks. as far as i could tell, not being in the first wave didn’t limit chances of acceptance. that said, after 3 weeks, most decisions were either waitlists or rejections. the decisions came via an email linked to myslice. you have to click the link to see the decision.

p.s. the oracle error happens on myslice all the time. don’t freak out. hate that. myslice is very temperamental, so don’t worry if anything weird happens.

good luck, all! remember to breathe hahaha.

Waah I hate when the decisions come out in waves.
Well its nice to be prepared so I don’t freak out if I don’t get an email in the first wave. Thanks!

I am currently hoping to transfer to SU for the Fall 2012 semester as a sophomore. I am taking 16 credits currently (4 classes each worth 4 credits) and my economics class is causing me a lot of grief. Would it be terrible to drop the econ class and be taking 12 credits? Would it decrease my chances of acceptance? I’m sure I would have to explain my reasoning for dropping the class but I have plenty of legitimate reasons. I don’t want to do badly and have it lower my GPA but I also don’t want to drop it if it’s really going to decrease my chances. Any thoughts?

Just got my acceptance for Whitman school !!! :D

Are you domestic or international?
