“we will begin notifying prospective students of our decision by the end of this week! Good luck!” Someone tweeted the syracuse twitter asking when early decision notifications will go out and this was there response

So we should all find out before January??? AHHHHH

@bcuse when I went on my interview, I asked them the same question. She told me they only accept or deny but there is one exception, which is space problems or something… I don’t even remember.

@buffalogirl95 haha I so feel you I email and call them ALL THE TIME and I feel like they hate me for that :(

@buffalogirl hahah I call and email all the time too! they must be sick of my name

haha I’m assuming end of the week means Saturday…what are u guys/girls applying to?

I also emailed one of the counselors for the engineering department and he said I’d find out this weekend! So if anyone else is applying to L.C. Smith, WE’LL FIND OUT THIS WEEKEND!!!

does anyone know for sure when the first wave goes out? i thought friday but i’m not sure

I’m applying for TV/radio/film! But not too optimistic about getting in…

ahhh I don’t know how I’m going to be able to look at my admission decision. I’m ready to just not look online and wait for a letter In the mail so I can get at least try to guess first hahah

@buffalogirl95 I’m applying t/r/f as well…you do an interview or anything?

will students only applying to L.C. Smith find out this weekend or all schools? I applied to the school of education and the college of arts and sciences. I am planning on doing a double major.

Yeah I had an interview but it wasn’t from anyone at Newhouse or anything since it was held in Buffalo (where I live). I really hope it doesn’t come out Saturday, ill die from waiting. I stalked the the thread last year and they found out Friday. If I have to wait another week ill literally explode.

I don’t get why cuse find out at two different times for ED… like at every other school everyone finds out on the same date. is the first official day to find out this friday?

@cusegirl yeah apparently so. In the past years they do “waves” so one wave goes this Friday and one wave goes the next.

I DIDNT GET IN. I JUST GOT MY LETTER. I HAVE A 99 (4.0) AVERAGE (UNWEIGHTED) AND A 2200 SAT SCORE. I think I might die. I applied to Arts and Science. SU is my dream school and I probably won’t go to college anymore. I’m second in my class. I have a million EC activities and I play three sports. SU is really raising their expectations.

And on top of all of that i am from africa. A minority with a 99 average didnt get in this is an outrage aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Great I’m screwed

Omg I’m sorry!! You got an email or letter in mail?

The recent post by japple95 looks discouraging and very surprising, and I am sorry to hear this japple95. Everyone should just relax and try not to take it to heart, as there must be more to the story. I can’t believe SU’s “status” has changed that dramatically in one year.
One year ago my son was going through the same wait…he was accepted to ED Newhouse TRF major. Stats were GPA 3.7, SAT’s 1950, did submit 2 SAT ll’s (Lit.690, Math1 670) and had 4 years Spanish…Good luck to all, and BTW he LOVES it there!!!

I agree with @urban. There is no way that cuse has raised their standards that much especially for ED
