Syracuse University v.s Mount Holyoke College

I am having trouble deciding between these two schools. I know they are both drastically different but I can't decide I like them both. I was wondering if I could have some advice please!!

A friend of mine goes to Syracuse and she is very happy there. First, both campuses differ in size drastically. Syracuse is huge school with strong athletics and also has high minority population. I think it would also depend on which major you will be choosing. If you are looking for a smaller community, MHC would be your fit, however Syracuse being a big school has numerous opportunities as well. Both schools are pretty far from major cities, so pick wisely!

If I were paying a bunch of cash for college, I would definitely pick Mount Holyoke. Syracuse is fun, but it’s no different than eight million state schools that you can go to for less than half the cost. Mount Holyoke is a special, unique place where you can get a very individualized education. Of course, you have to decide if you are comfortable with the all girl thing.

My major is international relations and I sent my deposit to Mount Holyoke. Was that a good choice?

I don’t know too much about Syracuse’s IR programs but heard MHC has a strong IR programs! I guess you will find more about the program this September!

Yes, you did. Very few colleges in the country can compete with our IR program. Welcome!
