Hi everyone! I’m honestly torn between which college is the best for me. I plan on majoring in communications and I’ve heard great things about both Fordham and Syracuse’s communications programs. I would love to hear your opinions and inputs.
I would say that the social scene is a big factor, as well as diversity. From what I hear, I feel like Syracuse and Fordham are the complete opposite regarding the social scene? But ultimately, I would like to go the better school to help start a good career for me in the future
I haven’t visited S or F because I live across the country so I’d really love to talk to anyone who has been to either of these schools!

If it were upto me, I’d choose Syracuse for its academics, social life, sports scene, campus, school of communications, etc. The diversity difference is not large, unless you are African American; Fordham is only 5% African American while Syracuse is 10%.
I highly recommend you find the money to visit each. You shouldn’t attend a college that you haven’t visited. You’re going to spend oodles of money to attend either school; you’d better like it. Transferring often means losing merit and sometimes grant aid. If you are impoverished, a minority, and the schools have expressed interest in you, see if you can get admissions to spring for the flight.
