Syracuse vs USC

I've been accepted into the USC and Syracuse architecture programs. I know that Syracuse is ranked 2nd in the nation and USC is ranked 9th. However, I love the numerous study abroad programs that USC offers compared to Syracuse. I am split between the two schools and I live in southern calfornia. Thus, I do not think I will be able to handle the weather at Syracuse.

Is there much of a difference between the 2 school's programs? Which school ultimately would be better for my career as an architect if I plan to work around the LA area?

I would choose USC if I were you

USC, hands down.

Fight on ;)

If it’s the LA area, USC hands down… but i guess i’m biased (even though i’m from NY)

Besides… Syracuse weather cant be compared to LA’s weather. at all.

Fight on :)

Hey! I’m in the same situation too! I’m debating btw USC and Syracuse but im from Northern California. I’ve visited Syracuse and I really like it there, but I haven’t gotten the chance to visit USC and I’m not sure if I will. ): USC is giving me more financial aid, but Syracuse has a better architecture program so I’m stuck. Is there a real big diff in their B.Arch programs?

USC! I got accepted to Syracuse, but I am attending penn state. I visited USC yesterday because my cousin is looking at grad schools…anyways USC is one of the coolest schools I have ever visited. I am definitely going to apply for Grad School

hmm, did you visit Syracuse?
i might visit on monday, even though thats not an admitted student reception, so i think i can make my final decision after that…
but why did you choose penn state instead of syracuse? :O

i attend USC and i’m currently in my 4th year of the b.arch program. i would say that being in LA does offer me a lot of opportunities, and i can tell you that USC has a lot of connections to firms around the area (gensler, HOK, etc.) we have firm fair every semester and organizations such as aias offers a lot of firm visits to big and small firms. i was in the same dilemma years ago but i am from norcal so i may be biased  good luck!
