T1 law school after Sarah Lawrence

I am hoping to attend Sarah Lawrence College. I have done my net price calculator, and it would be cheaper than a state school, so I figured why not. I have a big concern tho. I have always wanted to be a lawyer and go to Columbia law school (or any other top law school), so I was just wondering, would it be hard to get into a top law school from Sarah Lawrence. I know it is a great undergrad school, but the whole 3 courses a year, conference work, concentration system, will that make it hard?

Nope, just top grades and LSAT scores are the main determinants. That said, at the top 8 law schools, you will find a a disproportionate of graduates from Ivy plus schools, but that is probably because that statistically they are much better test takers than the mean.

Nope. I had a classmate at my top-3 law school from Sarah Lawrence.

I’d add that, though I don’t know what the plus means, Ivy League colleges are several-fold larger than schools such as Sarah Lawrence, and should be expected to have greater representation for that reason alone.

Also remember that law schools look at your other interests. Law is a big umbrella that covers several fields. If you are interested in art at SL, and you do something arty afterwards, and then get top LSATs and apply to go into arts-related law, well, then you’re a great candidate for a school with that focus. Right? If you’re going into a public interest field of law, however, it doesn’t pay as much. Be sure to check the law school’s loan forgiveness policies for public interest work.
