Don’t think it’s only Safari. Guessing it is via ISP. DH and I both use separate PC’s w/ Microsoft Edge as a browser. He connects to work computer via home wireless. Mine is via home wireless only. I can’t remember the last time we touched each other’s computer. I’ve set my cookies and privacy level to “high” (but not totally turned off). We still get cross ads, and I totally agree w/ OP that it is disconcerting.
Finally! Someone is experiencing this with their significant other and is dealing with the same issues. I don’t want DH knowing what stuff I’m surfing. It’s like Big Brother is watching. I wonder if this extends to articles, not just things to buy. Have you experienced that? I don’t think I have with his. I just don’t want my surfing articles like “I hate my MIL, what should I do?” Haha.
Install ad blockers on all your devices? If you’re being tracked through your ISP I’m not sure what you can do about it, although possibly a VPN might help.
If you figure out which variable is causing this behavior, please post.
DH thinks it might be the company server. All his devices work through that server and then through our wireless at home. He’s confused to, but now that I think of it, this wasn’t happening before he started linking, or whatever it’s called through his company.
