I was curious to see what methods other students (especially student athletes) use to get their homework done. Prioritizing, shutting off electronics, going to the library, etc.

I usually pull the “procrastination and freak out.” Though sometimes I meet up with my friends to study and do homework.

@awakeningvenus Haha, that’s what many of my friends do as well!

Do the easy homework at 2 am, then do the rest at school before it’s due Lunch is a good time as well. I prioritize it by when it’s due and what I feel like doing. I have AP Huge second period (first period never gives any homework) so I usually do that first. And the homework is easy for that as well xP

I don’t like the part about athletes, though Some clubs can take up just as much or even more time than sports.

At my school, since I have two virtual lab classes, I usually use those class periods to work on homework. Of course, that makes me behind in online classes if I don’t do like five assignments on the weekends. I generally don’t do much of my homework at home. :/

I get home, blast music and bang out HW as fast as possible. Then I go to sleep

@awakeningvenus I pull the “procrastination and freak out” when I have projects and essays to do. It worked for me. But now that I’m in IB this year, this would be a very bad idea. xD

I prioritize classes. First, I do homework for the classes I care about as fast as possible. I skim it over, correct mistakes, etc. Then, I rewrite it and perfect everything. I don’t really do homework for classes I don’t prioritize lol.

I have Xc in the fall (right now) and track in the spring and it literally takes up all my time, especially on weekends for Xc I have to run 10 miles on Sundays and then do homework the rest of the day. My Asian mom has begun to take my phone away from me due to my excessive time on twitter and instagram as soon as I get home and I only get it when I get back to bed. It’s actually helped me get to bed earlier.

I do homework during school…bad method but has worked so far

laughing bc im actually doing that right now :))

I have to be in a quiet environment. If I have practice after school up to starting at 5, I’ll stay at school and go to the library and then the school cafeteria to get my work done! I pack money and snacks. Getting homework done, you have to be motivated to do it! I always think of getting an 100 or beating that friend on the test! Worst comes to worst I drink an energy drunk and stay up until maybe 1 to get all my work done. You really have to budget your time and take advantage of every oppurtunity: study halls, after school, bus rides, lunch… You can figure it out it you plan your schedule accordingly and stay motivated

Get sleep I-)

My method:
- “I’m so done” from the time I get home till about 8-9ish, I’ll get like one to two things done at most during this time
2)“I should probably start working” from about 9-11ish, I try harder, but procrastination is at it’s peak during this time
3)“Wth am I doing with my life” period between 11-indefinite PM. Basically when I go laser-focus try hard mode

^^That is so me

Do it at the school library, study/do whatever I forget/am too lazy to do at 8 pm after I get home.

Haha, I usually actually study. I read the chapters for my college classes twice… so far its really helped because I have gotten 100’s on my last three quizzes. I don’t usually listen to music, multi-task, etc… or…at least I try not to.

If your homework is worth around 10% of your grade, don’t do it. One of my friend didn’t do his homework the whole school year and passed with an A. -_-

I’ve started to just not do Geometry until the weekend xD He just collects our notebooks after a week or two and makes sure all our homework is in it. My Algebra teacher doesn’t collect homework until the day of the test. So I guess if you have a teacher who does something like that, wait until the weekend to do everything? :)
