TAG GPA Cutoff Point?

I'm a little confused about UCSD's TAG. The website says you must have a UC GPA of 3.5 by THE END OF FALL 2011. But whats confusing me is that we're suppose to apply before Fall 2011 grades will even come out. So if I have a 3.3 and after fall 2011 grades come out my GPA is 3.5, does that not matter since i didn't have the 3.5 when i applied?

I'm assuming that they have you submit Fall grades once you get them but I'm not sure and would appreciate an answer from someone who went through this.

You’ll have your initial application, in which you give everything up until your spring grades, then you’ll have an update in January of 2012 to fill them in on your fall grades.

Your admission decision won’t be determined until after those fall grades are in, so those grades are the last that count toward your admission decision.

Transfer admission evaluation happens after the January update, when you are supposed to update your Fall grades. UCSD evaluates TAG and the application at the same time, unlike other UC campuses. So your TAG gets approved after receipt of your Fall grades.
