Taking a day off from school?

I’m a high school senior this year, and I’ll admit that senior year has been crazy and I’ve been kind of lazy. I’m still keeping my grades decent as I’m already in college and don’t want that to change haha. I took a day off last month at some point and got assignments done that had been piling up, as well as slept late. I do so many extracurriculars, as well as work most days after school and all day on Saturday. Today, I’m taking another un-sick day because I have multiple assignments due and tests on Friday, so I figure I’d use today to catch up (yes, I will do that, I’m not just saying that.)

i have the highest absences in my study hall, so absences can be dealt with, but I’m just wondering what’s your stance on taking a catch-up day off of school, and how do you deal with the “guilt” that comes with playing hooky (ha)?

Taking a “mental health day” a couple times a year can’t hurt. Just be sure to use the time productively and take it on a day when you won’t leave lab partners, teammates or fellow employees carrying your load. If you aren’t putting any burden on others, are keeping up your grades, and are keeping such days to a bare minimum, you need not feel any guilt.

If you have “been kind of lazy”, and this is going to be a monthly habit, you should probably rethink your time management.
