Taking a year off

<p>Just out of curiosity, if one were to take a year off after high school and use that time to travel abroad around the world..how would that affect their admission to a top level college the following year?</p>

<p>I was somewhat considering it since the decision letters are not appearing to show what i was hoping to see. I'd much rather experience other cultures rather than waste money at an institution i do not look forward to attending.</p>

<p>Well I wouldn’t take a year off after high school, going to college right after is a better choice for me. I think taking a year off also can have an affect on your admission.</p>
