Taking all AP's this year

AP Physics
AP Chemistry
AP Computer Science
AP US Government
AP English Literature
AP Calculus

And I'm only class rank 5 in my school.

yay, i'm like one of the ap kids who has it easy (compared to you guys and gals)

ap calc ab
ap bio
ap lit
ap stat

once again, who cares?

people love to complain about the hard work instead of praise the benefits (whatever those may be)

AP Calc BC
AP english
AP us history
AP physics B (we only have B)
AP spanish

Yeah I'm taking the max 6 AP's in a year at my school....

AP Physics C
AP Eng. Lit
AP Spanish Lang
AP BC Calc
AP Microecon
AP Macroecon

I'm taking 5 (Chem, Calc AB, Spanish Lang., Microecon, Eng. Lang) but the questions I have for y'all is whether you are doing it to learn or for class rank/college admissions.
At my school there is a kid taking 6 of 6 classes AP. The smartest girl in the school- and I- are going to get beaten by him because she's taking a non-AP drama class that she's interested in and I'm taking a gasp REGULAR physics class.
I think the whole AP "arms race" is a horrible idea, and keeps many kids from taking classes that they're truly interested in. I wish the administration would stop giving weighted grades for more than 4 AP classes so that if a kid were to take more than 4, people would know it's because S/He is truly interested in the subject.

Comments?

Senior (Six tests in the past: four 5's, two 4's)
AP English Lit
AP Calc BC
AP Government (US & Comparative)
AP Physics B
AP Micro & Macro Econ

That's 7 tests. I'm good at managing my time and the classes at my school are only moderately difficult, so I don't think it will be hard until test time; last year I had a hard time staying motivated throughout 12 hours of grueling tests.

I'm also thinking about self-studying Physics C (not offered at my school) because I really love Physics so far. Anybody have any advice on this?

I am taking 4
AP Govt
AP Chem
AP Spanish
Ap Calc BC
I would have been taking 5 but I couldnt get just a semester of AP govt so I could take the semester of AP Psych. Also, my school has a religion requirement so that takes a period every semester. And I would just rather take elective english classes rather than AP.
