This past school year was my Sophomore year and it was exciting!! Transitioning into my major next year and the finals were a bit intense but not the worst! Overall except for my one situation a pretty good year! This past Spring I had my classes stacked Tuesdays & Thursdays all day without much break and yuck it kinda sucked because some classes got boring or uninteresting but the 4 day weekends were nice! I am a business major so most if not all classes will be lecture format. I think my schedule should be alright this coming semester and it goes as follows every M/W/F:
9:00-9:50 Legal Environment of Business
10:00-10:50 Business Finance
11:00-11:50 Business Statistics II
1:00-1:50 Bus. Professionals/Info Systems
plus Organizational Theory/Behavior - ONLINE
I had an online class in my schedule the past few semesters and actually did well in it each time! It helps my schedule I think! I havenât spread classes to 3 days yet but have done 2 days already twice and kinda want to try something different. I did commute for T/TH and will do the same so an extra commuting day would be added is one thing. So just looking for suggestions or any type of feedback is fine!
You probably already know this since you have had days off mid-week before, but make sure you are still doing schoolwork on the days you donât have classes! I find having morning classes every day motivates me to get up and do stuff all day whereas if my classes are later Iâll lounge around a bit more in the morning and lose some work time. Maybe commit to working from 9-12 on your online class every day that you donât have your physical classes, so youâll be motivated and get all the work done for that class. Then use the afternoon to work on studying for your other classes. Iâm sure youâll also enjoy being done by 2PM on your class days and having time to work âafter schoolâ.
You know the particulars of your college best, but will you have enough time to get from one class to the next for your first three classes? Otherwise, it looks sweet. Itâs nice to have the afternoons available for review and study.
Even if your classes are MWF wouldnât you need to go to campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work on group projects or participate in other ecâs? Do you go to college only to attend your classes? There is also lots of other opportunities on campus that you should explore and take advantage of. Expect more group projects in upper level classes.
I should update that all my on campus classes listed are in the same building so no issues there! Also it is quite possible there will be group work in some classes and professors are very accommodating at my school! I did stay on campus for the first 1.5 years of school and Iâm not too impressed with it anymore it was pretty boring tbh!
Itâs a 25 minute drive to and from school so not too bad!
It should work out but be prepared to have a few difficult days as you could end up with some back-to-back exams. Bring some snacks and a water bottle or something to help keep your energy up.
Should be fine, seems like a reasonable schedule. Just be aware it is very possible that you will at some point have an exam in every class on the same day.
Lots of good answers!! About having exams the same day well that did occur I believe just once all last semester when classes met twice! Iâve noticed even if my classes are spread out the exams happen the same week in multiple classes just cause those departments are giving exams I guess! Biggest trade off with not having any long 75 minute classes is having to attend them on Fridays yep! But whoâs to say my weekends once in a while may begin Wednesday nights
If you find out in advance that your exams might all be on the same day, it is possible to request a reschedule from your professor. Usually this means youâll have to take the test a day or two before the official test day so youâll have to be extra prepared, and youâll probably have to sign something that says you wonât share any information about the test with other students in the class. But most professors will accommodate this sort of request if youâre respectful and reasonable about it.
Well guys I meant to post an update earlier but Iâll do this now! I have operated on this schedule for the first 2 weeks of the semester so far! So far not bad! The class days are short lived with them being just 50 minutes compared to 1 hr. 15 minutes. Not sure if Iâm used to it yet but this schedule will keep my brain going all week with the class days spaced out so evenly! At least with Labor Day off that makes this a Saturday thru Tuesday weekend and this coming week begins with Wednesday! Definitely canât complain about that!
