Taking BIO 25L and CHEM 21 in the same semester?

Is this an advisable thing to do? I did focus this semester so I'm a little behind with my pre-med requirements. Is it overly difficult to take these classes simultaneously? I don't have AP credit in either subject. Thanks!

I don't think that will be that hard to do. Chem 21 I hear is relatively easy.

If you can't survive Bio 25 and Chem 21 at the same time, there is no way in the world you'll survive medical school so you might as well learn that now. It shouldn't be overly difficult as they are both intro courses. If you're pre-med, you'll have to take multiple upper level science courses at the same time, so it's only going to get harder. These two courses together is not something I would worry about at all unless you're very much not a science person (and, in that case, you shouldn't be pre-med).

Ok, thanks for the input. What will determine my decision I think is whether or not I can commit to 8:45 classes every day of the week...

Speaking from personal experience, it's gonna be real hard. I have had two semesters of straight 8:30/45 and one with 4 days/week, it just plain sucks. But then again, you feel like you have a lot more time because you wake up so early.

I would personally hate your schedule.
Double labs!!??

The way my adviser put it...

It's either Chem 21/22 and Bio 25, or Orgo and Bio 25. That helped my decision.

Unfortuntaely, I got shut out of Bio 25 my freshman year, did it with orgo, and it was HORRIBLE.

Bio 25 is HARD, and it's gonna be hard whenever you take it. Just make 100% sure you're gonna wake up and go to class. Because, speaking from experience, sometimes you think you will and you don't.
