taking both ap bio and ap calc ab senior year?

i'm currently a junior and we have to decide what our classes will be for senior year. i'm taking apush, latin, french, english, physics, and trig now (all honors); i quit ap chem in october because i had absolutely no frees, 20 min lunches, and physics to deal with too.

so, i got into ap bio, ap calc ab (that's the only math ap offered in my school), and ap lit. i'm not that worried about ap lit since the seniors in my school said the ap lit kids do soo much less work than the kids in honors english.

i've asked the seniors in my school and they said ap bio has a lottt of work but it's lot of fun since the teacher really prepares you for the ap test. they said ap calc is soo much work; people seriously cry in that class on how hard it is. even the smartest people in the school fail on some tests. but, i loveee the teacher and was hoping he could write me a recommendation since he was my math teacher in soph year too.

i'm worried that i'll be too stressed out if i do both next year along with my required classes (econ/gov and religion) and my two electives (psych and forensic science). i reallly want to do both since i love the teachers and i love math and science (nerdy, i know lol) but i still don't want my senior year to be all work and no fun. help on if i should quit ap calc or keep it?

I think you can do it…I’m a sophomore and I’m taking both AP Bio and AP Calc AB, along with AP Psych, so I definitely think you can handle it.

Bio is pretty difficult, but only because of the insane amount of content.
Calc…I hate it, to say the least, but it’s not killing me.

Bio is honestly a pretty easy class, it’s not even that much work it just requires a few hours a week outside of class studying and making sure that you understand all the concepts. As for AB, it’s not a hard class either, just dont fall behind on your study of integrals and derivatives or BC will be hell.

Make sure you read ahead, looking through concepts and doing some self-study before school starts. Use review books, manage your time, and just work hard. It’s not impossible.

People in my school have handled AP Bio and AP Calc along with AP Lit (which, in my school, is by far the hardest AP imaginable). Never ever turn down a good teacher even if they’re difficult, a good teacher can make memorizing a dictionary fun and interesting.
