Taking Math Level 2 again?

Hi guys! So I took Math 2 twice already, with a 710 and 740 respectively (May and June). I’m not too happy about the scores, and I’m applying to good schools (read: Ivies). I’m taking Literature on Saturday, and I’m not sure if it would be wise to retry Math 2. I’m pretty proficient in math, but I’m taking calculus right now and the pre-calc concepts tested on might be a little rusty (aka easy to make stupid mistakes). Prep time wouldn’t really exist, except 2-3 practice tests and a refresher of formulas. What I’m concerned about is if I actually score lower than a 740. Also, would schools look down upon my obsessive drive to get a better score? 3 times seems a bit excessive, but 740 seems inadequate for my Ivy dreams. I’ve also taken the Italian one with a 760. Thanks!

3 times is a bit excessive. At this rate, I think you should just stop. Your score may not even go higher, and may even drop.

Thanks for the input! I ended up not taking it, since I wasn’t even feeling very prepared. Hoping Lit goes well, however.
