Taking Matlab Further

This is more of a Matlab question than a college question, but I figured you guys would have some good ideas.

I’ve already taken the intro to Matlab course (Matlab for Scientists and Engineers) and a Matlab-based Numerical Analysis course. There are no more Matlab specific courses in my program, but I’d like to become more proficient with it. Do any of you have any good suggestions for books to move onto? I’d also like to learn more about Matlab in general, not just engineering applications but that’s definitely a focus (are things like GUI development possible with this?) Thanks!

‘Matlab for Engineers,’ by Moore.
‘Matlab Programming,’ by Chapman.

Honestly, the best thing to do is find a project toward which you can apply your existing Matlab skills and see what kind of new things you run into. Maybe see if you can join a research lab if you haven’t already and apply it there.
