Hi everyone,
Is it feasible to take MEC85 and ME104 concurrently? While MEC85 is listed as a pre-req, I have heard from others that not much MEC85 is used in ME104. I just wanted to make sure that I will not be at a disadvantage if I have not taken it already.
Thanks!
Seriously, your ID makes me wanna puke.
Unless you change it to something more palatable or you actually meant University of South Carolina, this will be the last time I’ll reply to you.
But yes, there are folks who took 104 before C85 and still did fine.
C85 is about statics while 104 is about dynamics so technically they are opposite subjects.
Having a strong foundation from Math 53 is crucial for 104. If you liked and did well in Physics 7A, then ME104 would be a pleasant experience.
ME C85 is a in-depth sequel to the equilibrium topic in Physics 7A. Knowing some matrix algebra certainly helps. In the end, it’s all about verifying whether the forces add up to 0 or not.
