Taking Non-PreMed Courses During the Summer?

Hi guys,

I know that taking pre med courses during the summer is not advised, but is it alright to take courses that are for fulfilling my major (something that is not pre med)? And Im talking about 2 courses at the most.

Sorry forgot to add: The courses are in the university im in year-round, not a community college or another place.

Thanks guys,

I think the general consensus is that summer coursework should not be any of the pre-med requirements, unless need be. For your major requirement, it’s okay (I am doing the same). Just make sure you still are involved in clinical exp/research/volunteering/have fun/etc. and not only taking classes during your summer.

thanks! yea i was thinking of taking a class twice a week and still be involved in clinical exp/research/volunteering/have fun/etc.

any more input??
