Taking Notes at UCLA

Little off topic, but for those who are wondering, UCLA’s wifi is fast. I don’t use my netbook to take notes but I go on it during breaks. You have to login with your ID/password but it actually goes pretty fast. I was getting over 15Mb/s down (http://www.speedtest.net results). Big improvement from my CCCs (pierce and moorpark) where the wifi was just horrendous.

Their ethernet (hard wire) connections are just as fast as my CCC’s though. (~80 down and 60 up)

nobody in my econ class uses laptop to takes note, maybe it has more to do with the subject (I imagine it would be hard drawing accurate graphs using a laptop/netbook). Plus, the slide table adjunct to your seat is so small.

@rpicton I wasn’t even aware Pierce had wifi. Did it depend on which buildings?

I guess so. The SSID was “PierceAPs” and I got it around the botanical garden area.
