Taking practice tests... Should I check all of my answers or only the ones that I got wrong?

Hello! I’m taking the SAT on the 3rd so I’m a little bit tight on time. I’m wondering, with practice tests, is it more efficient to read over every single question after I’ve taken it so I can understand what I did correctly, or is it more efficient to only check over the questions that have been marked as wrong?

I’m always in favor of looking over every question and answer, even those you got right. When I only check the ones I got wrong, I sometimes find that there are questions I guessed on that I don’t really know why the right answer is right. Also, it never hurts to go reinforce ideas you already know. It takes a little extra time but I think it’s still pretty important when taking those tests.

Yes, definitely review the ones you missed but also the ones you were shaky on. Many times we get answers right by luck or for the wrong reason. You can skip the really easy ones and the ones where you feel solid, this might be the best compromise on saving time in the review process.

Check any misses or guesses.

You should circle the ones you weren’t sure or guessed on when you’re taking the practice test so when you’re done you can look at those too.
