Hey everyone :) I'm a rising senior, and I have to take regular statistics because of scheduling problems.

I took calc BC last year and scored a 5. My math scores are 770 (SAT I) and 790 (SAT 2). Will taking regular stats senior year hurt me?

No. But if you got AP stat, you should take it because it’s not hard at all. But if you don’t, regular stat will not hurt your chances at all since you have no more difficult courses left.

Thanks for the replies. Stats AP is offered at my school, but I have to take regular stats because of a scheduling problem.

dude, I took AP Stats as a freshman and got a 5. It isn’t hard.

^I never said it was hard, but I have a scheduling conflict.

MITChris, should I write a note to my guidance counselor or mention this in the additional info section? Thanks for your help :)

I was in a much worse situation than you. Thanks to a scheduling conflict, instead of taking programming to fulfill my computer science requirement, I had to take Software Apps, in which you “learn” how to use Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. It is a course that, traditionally, only the least academically inclined students take. I wrote a sentence in the Additional Info section about how scheduling problems prevented me from taking computer science classes with even a MODICUM of rigor, and that seemed to be more than enough. In your case, you probably don’t need to say anything.
